Kolkata: Thundershower keeps the heat at bay

The monsoon must have taken a hiatus, but scattered thundershower continued to give respite to Kolkatans on Thursday. Localised rain kept the temperature from rising. And the Met office expects similar showers to keep the heat at bay till the monsoon flow gains strength again. In all likeliness the monsoon may come lashing with a renewed force by weekend.
